De-tox, cleansing for health

Thick ground frost this morning. It’s very cold outside here in Hertfordshire although the sun is shining. Before the weather is warm enough for me to work in my greenhouse and garden, I decided to detoxtoday. I am observing the twenty-four cleansing for health.
This is the reason.
“If you suffer from occasional attacks of the energy droops – too many late nights, a few drinks too many, extra pressure at work, problems at home, the after effects of a cold or of an attack of flu – you’ll soon recover if you are healthy. But a detox will help you get back on your feet. That’s because fasting increases your natural resistance to infection, encourages the body to heal it’s damaged tissues and encourages homoeostasis – its mechanism that mainstains the body’s chemical stability, without which we couldn’t survive.” The Little Book of Detox Tips by Michael Van Straten.
I am not hungry while I detox. After I relax on the following day I am not tired and my energy increases.

The Real Valkyrie – The Hidden History of Viking Warrior Women

I would like to write a novel about Vikings so I’ve jotted facts and ideas in a file. Today I borrowed The Real Valkyrie, the Hidden History of Viking Warrior Women by Nancy Marie Brown from the library.
I am considering writing a novel set in the age of Vikings. I have made notes about the era, possible plots and themes.
Today I borrowed The Real Valkyrie by Nancy Marie Brown – The Hidden History of Viking Warrrior Women from the library. It is inspired by DNA tests in 2017 “to the collective shock of many scholars that a Viking warrior in a high-status grave in Birka, Sweden was actually a woman.” I dipped into the book and look forward to reading more.
The author weaves facts together to reinvent her life and times , showing that Viking women had more power and agency than historians have imagined.
I dipped into the book and look forward to reading more.

Her novel is inspired by the Russian Fairy Tale ‘Snegurochka,’ about an old man and woman who form a little girl out of snow, and she comes alive. Arthur Ransome based his children’s story “Little Daughter of the Snow’ on it.
Financial times. ‘A story about finding love in unexpected places…full of fire and love.’
